Galatasaray isn’t slowing down in the transfer market. The Turkish giants are reportedly cooking up a sensational offer and their latest target is none other than PSG and Italy’s star goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma.
He’s now high on their wishlist as they look to strengthen their squad between the posts. The club’s serious interest comes amid some uncertainty surrounding Donnarumma’s contract situation at PSG. But landing him won’t be easy Galatasaray would have to beat out several top European clubs also keeping tabs on the situation.
This move shows just how ambitious Galatasaray is this summer. They’ve made it clear they want to bring in a world-class goalkeeper. Earlier, they were linked with names like Mike Maignan, Yann Sommer, and Ederson. But now, according to Tuttomercatoweb, their focus has shifted to Donnarumma.
It’s another bold step in what’s already been an aggressive transfer window for them especially after pulling off the huge signing of Victor Osimhen for €75 million.
The opportunity to sign Donnarumma is opening up because of his contract, which runs until June 2026. PSG is reportedly not too keen on keeping up with his current salary, which sits around €12 million per year considered too steep by the club’s management.
Still, convincing Donnarumma to make the move won't be a walk in the park. If he does leave Paris, clubs like Chelsea, Inter Milan, and Juventus are also expected to jump into the race.
