AC Milan has officially announced the signing of Italian international midfielder Samuele Ricci from Torino. The 23 year old will wear the number 4 jersey at San Siro starting this season.
Ricci has signed a contract valid until June 2029, with an option to extend for an additional year until 2030. The total transfer fee is reported to be around €25 million, consisting of an initial €23 million payment and €2 million in performance-related bonuses.
The transfer was finalized following Ricci’s completion of a medical examination and the signing of his contract at Milan’s headquarters. Speaking to the media, Ricci said, “I’m very happy. Forza Milan!”
AC Milan has been monitoring Ricci’s progress over the past few years. In addition to the Rossoneri, several top clubs, including Manchester City and Napoli, had previously expressed interest in the midfielder.
However, an agreement between Milan and Torino was only reached this summer. Ricci is expected to play a key role in the club’s future midfield plans.
Born in Pontedera, Ricci has made significant strides since his debut in Serie A, impressing with his consistency and tactical intelligence during his time with Empoli and Torino.
