Tyrell Malacia is set to return to Manchester United following the conclusion of his loan spell at PSV Eindhoven. The Dutch left-back failed to meet expectations during his time in the Eredivisie, leading PSV to forgo the option of a permanent transfer.
Malacia joined PSV midway through the 2024/2025 season but made just 12 appearances across all competitions, without registering a goal or an assist.
His performances were widely regarded as underwhelming, and he struggled to secure consistent playing time. PSV initially hoped Malacia would solidify the left side of their defense, but the 25-year-old was unable to provide the stability the club was seeking.
As a result, the Eindhoven-based club has opted not to retain him, and he will return to Old Trafford ahead of the new season.
