Defending champions Bayern Munchen will kick off the new Bundesliga season with a high-profile clash against RB Leipzig.
According to the official Bundesliga website, the opening match between Die Roten and Die Roten Bullen is scheduled to take place at the Allianz Arena in Munchen on Friday, August 22.
Bayern, now under the leadership of head coach Vincent Kompany, enters a transitional phase following the departures of key players Thomas Müller, Leroy Sané, and Eric Dier during the summer transfer window.
To strengthen their squad, The Bavarians have secured the signings of two German internationals: Jonathan Tah and Tom Bischof.
RB Leipzig are also navigating a period of change after parting ways with former head coach Marco Rose in March. The club has since appointed Ole Werner as his replacement.
Werner faces a challenging start to his tenure, with star players Xavi Simons and Benjamin Šeško heavily linked with moves away from Leipzig.
This season, a total of 18 teams will compete for the Bundesliga title, including three promoted clubs: Hamburger SV, 1. FC Köln, and 1. FC Heidenheim.
