Manchester City were stunned by Aston Villa, and manager Pep Guardiola admitted his side had several shortcomings one of them being a lack of aggression.
City suffered a 0–1 defeat at Villa Park on Sunday night in the Premier League, with Matty Cash’s 19th-minute goal proving to be the only difference between the two teams.
That goal, which came from a corner, drew complaints from City players, who felt Lucas Digne had fouled Matheus Nunes in the buildup.
However, Guardiola chose not to dwell on the controversy. Instead, he focused on what his team failed to do right particularly in terms of intensity.
