Bayern Munich have decided to extend Vincent Kompany contract, showing their satisfaction with his performance so far. The Belgian coach has now signed a new deal that will keep him at the club for the next four years.
The announcement was made on Tuesday evening (October 21, 2025) at Bayern’s training ground, Säbener Straße. Kompany previous contract was originally set to expire in 2027.
"I'm proud and grateful to Bayern for the trust and working environment they’ve provided me with since day one," Kompany said, as quoted on the official Bundesliga website.
"It already feels like I’ve been here for a long time. I’ve really connected with the club, and it’s been a great experience so far. We’ve started something special, and we’ll keep pushing to achieve even more," he added.
Kompany took charge of Bayern last season and immediately led them to a Bundesliga title. He followed that up with a German Super Cup win this past summer.
This season, Bayern have already recorded 12 wins across all competitions, including seven in the Bundesliga. They currently sit at the top of the league table with 21 points, five clear of second-placed RB Leipzig.
In his time at the helm, Kompany has managed 41 matches with Bayern, recording 31 wins, 9 draws, and just 1 defeat. His points-per-game average stands at an impressive 2.51 just behind Pep Guardiola’s record of 2.52.
