Barcelona forward Marcus Rashford has expressed his gratitude after completing his move to Camp Nou this past summer. He believes that leaving Manchester United for Barcelona has brought significant benefits to both his career and personal growth.
Last summer, Rashford was listed for transfer by Manchester United. With new manager Rúben Amorim not including him in his plans, Rashford had to look for a new chapter in his career.
After a lengthy transfer process, the English international officially joined La Liga champions Barcelona a move he describes as a much-needed reset.
“Coming to Barcelona has been refreshing,” Rashford said. “After a tough 2024/2025 season, I knew I needed to hit the reset button to get back to being the best version of myself.”
He shared that joining Barça has given him new energy and allowed him to evolve both on and off the pitch. “It’s not just a fresh start in football, but also a chance to explore a new country and develop a new style of play,” he added.
So far, Rashford has noticed positive signs in his performance and is confident he can reach a higher level with the Catalan giants.
“I’m at a great club, but I also know I haven’t hit my full potential yet,” he admitted. “I truly believe this team is the right fit for me, and I can contribute a lot. This move feels like the right step for my career, and I’m optimistic about what lies ahead.”
Since joining, Rashford has become a regular starter under manager Hansi Flick. He has made 10 appearances for the first team, contributing three goals and five assists a strong start to his journey in Spanish football.
