Inter Milan is reportedly keeping a close eye on Marc Guehi situation at Crystal Palace ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window. The English center-back remains high on the Serie A club’s shortlist as they look to bolster their defensive line.
According to Tuttosport via TMW, Guehi contract at Palace runs until June 2026. However, the 24-year-old has shown little interest in extending his stay at Selhurst Park, opening the door for a potential move.
Liverpool came close to signing Guehi last summer in a deal worth around €40 million, but the transfer ultimately fell through as Palace couldn't secure a replacement in time before the window closed.
Now, Inter is treading carefully, monitoring the situation while preparing to compete with both Liverpool and Bayern Munich, who are also reportedly interested in the defender.
While Liverpool is still considered the frontrunner, Inter hasn’t ruled out making a move if the opportunity presents itself. The Italian giants see potential value in negotiating with Palace as part of their long-term squad strategy.
Interestingly, Inter may have a key bargaining chip in the form of Yann Bisseck. The German defender was on Palace’s radar last summer as a potential successor to Guehi. Palace valued Bisseck at around €35 million, but talks stalled after the player hesitated over a Premier League switch.
If discussions are revived in January, a player swap deal could be on the table though not necessarily on equal financial terms.
Beyond Guehi, Inter is also actively scouting several young defenders across Europe as part of their long-term planning. The club is looking to add depth ahead of a packed schedule next season.
Names like Joel Ordonez (Club Brugge) and Konstantinos Koulierakis (Wolfsburg) have surfaced as promising talents with room to grow, seen as smart investments for the future.
Inter is also keeping tabs on Oumar Solet (Udinese), Mario Gila (Lazio), and Tarik Muharemovic (Sassuolo), further highlighting the club’s commitment to building a solid defensive foundation for the seasons ahead.
