Harry Kane has dismissed recent rumors suggesting he could be on his way back to the Premier League anytime soon, saying he’s still very much enjoying life at Bayern Munich.
Now in his third season with the German giants after making a €100 million move from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023, Kane has been nothing short of prolific. He’s already netted 101 goals for Bayern 18 of them coming in just 10 matches this season.
His standout form has naturally sparked speculation about his future, especially with reports surfacing of a clause in his contract that could allow him to leave in January 2026 for a fee of £56.7 million.
That’s reportedly caught the attention of several English clubs, including Spurs and Manchester United, who are said to be interested in bringing him back to the Premier League. But Kane has poured cold water on those rumors.
Right now, his focus remains firmly on Bayern. In fact, he’s open to staying even longer than his current deal which runs until 2027 might suggest.
“I could definitely see myself staying at Bayern long term,” Kane told ESPN.
“I mentioned this a few weeks ago I haven’t had any conversations about a new contract yet, but if the club is interested, I’d be happy to sit down and talk about it.”
“Of course, it all depends on what we achieve this season and in the years ahead. But at the moment, things are going great and I’m not thinking about anything else.”
As for a Premier League return?
“I’m not sure,” Kane said. “If you’d asked me when I first joined Bayern, I probably would’ve said yes, I’d definitely go back.”
“But now that I’ve been here for two years, that feeling has cooled a bit. I wouldn’t rule it out completely but right now, it’s not on my mind.”
