Bayern Munich’s sporting director, Max Eberl, has confirmed that Harry Kane is eager to stay long-term at the club — and the Bundesliga champions are ready to reward that commitment with a new contract.
The English striker has been in phenomenal form since joining Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023. He’s already netted 100 goals in just 104 appearances across all competitions.
Kane has been a major driving force behind Bayern’s successful 2024/25 campaign so far. With 15 goals this season, he’s played a key role in putting Die Roten in a strong position to add more silverware to their collection.
As it stands, Bayern sit at the top of the Bundesliga table, have progressed to the second round of the DFB-Pokal, and started their Champions League campaign with a convincing 3-1 win over Chelsea.
Although Kane’s current contract runs until the summer of 2027, Eberl revealed that talks about an extension are already in the pipeline.
“Harry is a key player for us,” Eberl told ESPN. “He came to Bayern because he genuinely loves playing here and wants to win trophies. He’s looking to stay for many more years, so we’ll be discussing the next steps soon.”
Naturally, this development could cool down rumors of Kane returning to the Premier League. He’s recently been linked with a potential move back to Spurs or even a switch to Manchester United next summer, but those chances now appear to be fading.
