Adrien Rabiot has emerged as an unexpected but valuable addition to AC Milan’s squad, boosting the Rossoneri’s chances of competing seriously for the Scudetto this season.
Milan secured the French midfielder from Marseille at the tail end of the 2025 summer transfer window, signing him on a contract that runs through 2029. Rabiot’s departure from Marseille came in the wake of a locker-room altercation with teammate Jonathan Rowe, which followed a tense 1-0 defeat to Rennes.
Since arriving at San Siro, Rabiot has featured in all three of Milan’s matches, playing the full 90 minutes each time under coach Massimiliano Allegri.
Now, Milan faces a crucial stretch with two high-stakes games on the horizon against Napoli this weekend, followed by a clash with Juventus.
“I wouldn’t call it a Scudetto decider just yet, because the season is still long,” Rabiot told Football Italia. “But these matches are a good opportunity for us to test ourselves and see how far we've come.”
“Of course, facing Juventus is not just any match but I’m a Milan player now, and I want to win every game,” he added.
Currently, Milan sits third in the Serie A standings with nine points trailing Juventus (10 points) and league leaders Napoli (12 points).
