Bruno Fernandes reached a major milestone in his Manchester United career during the match against Chelsea, netting his 100th goal for the club.
The Premier League clash took place at Old Trafford on Saturday evening, September 20, 2025. United secured a 2-1 victory over the visitors, with Fernandes opening the scoring in the 14th minute.
That goal marked his 100th in all competitions for Manchester United, coming in what was also his 200th Premier League appearance.
“Every goal matters. It doesn’t depend on the moment,” Fernandes told Sky Sports.
“It’s a great moment for me, reaching this number for such a big club. I’m really happy there’s no hiding that but it wasn’t something I was aiming for when I joined.”
“For me, it’s always about giving my best. Of course, if I can score more goals to help the team win, that’s what really matters,” he added.
The win was a welcome bounce-back for United after their recent Manchester derby defeat. Under Ruben Amorim, the team now sits 10th in the Premier League table with seven points from five matches.
