Kylian Mbappe has officially reached the 50-goal mark for Real Madrid, adding another milestone to his already impressive career. The French superstar scored twice in the opening matchday of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League, helping Los Blancos come from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over Marseille.
Those two goals brought Mbappe’s total to 50 across all competitions since joining Real Madrid. He achieved the feat in just 64 appearances.
Looking at the breakdown, Mbappe netted 44 goals in 59 matches during the 2024/25 season. In the current campaign, he has already added six goals from just five appearances.
Naturally, the comparison to Cristiano Ronaldo one of Real Madrid’s greatest ever players was inevitable.
Interestingly, both players reached their 50th goal in their second season with the club. However, Ronaldo did it quicker. The Portuguese icon hit the 50-goal mark in his 54th appearance, 10 games faster than Mbappe.
Ronaldo’s milestone came in November 2010 during a LaLiga clash against Athletic Bilbao. He entered that game with 48 goals and finished with a hat-trick, bringing his tally to 51 from 54 matches and leading Real Madrid to a commanding 5-1 win.
