Gabriel Jesus is reportedly no longer part of Mikel Arteta’s long term plans at Arsenal, with the club preparing to offload the Brazilian striker in the upcoming January transfer window.
Following the arrival of Viktor Gyökeres, Arsenal now have plenty of depth in the central forward position, with Kai Havertz also frequently deployed up front. This leaves limited room for Jesus, who has struggled to secure regular playing time.
Injuries have been a recurring issue for the 28 year old. Since joining Arsenal, he has missed over 60 games due to various setbacks, including recurring knee and hamstring problems. Most recently, he suffered an ACL injury that further hampered his availability.
According to a report from The Mirror, Arsenal are planning to sell Jesus during the January 2026 transfer window. His current contract runs until the summer of 2027.
Jesus joined the Gunners from Manchester City in 2022 for a reported fee of €52 million. Since then, he has made 96 appearances across all competitions, contributing 26 goals and 20 assists.
