AC Milan have strengthened their midfield with the signing of Adrien Rabiot, who joined the club at the tail end of the summer transfer window.
According to Football Italia, Rabiot was signed from Marseille for a reported fee of €10 million, including bonuses. The French midfielder completed his medical at Milanello on Monday afternoon (September 1, 2025), just hours before the window closed.
Shortly after, Milan submitted his contract to Lega Serie A ahead of the midnight deadline, making the deal official. Rabiot has signed a contract that keeps him at San Siro until 2029.
Known for his box-to-box style of play, Rabiot is expected to be a key figure in Milan’s midfield. He also reunites with head coach Massimiliano Allegri, whom he previously worked with during his time at Juventus.
However, both Allegri and Milan will be aware of Rabiot's fiery temperament and the off-field controversies surrounding his mother and agent, Veronique. Rabiot reportedly left Marseille following a heated altercation with former teammate Jonathan Rowe at the Stade Vélodrome.
Interestingly, Rabiot’s debut for Milan is set to come against Bologna on September 14 where he could face Rowe once again.
During his stint at Marseille, Rabiot made 32 appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing 6 assists.
Rabiot becomes Milan’s ninth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Luka Modric, Ardon Jashari, Samuele Ricci, Pervis Estupiñán, Koni De Winter, Zachary Athekame, Christopher Nkunku, and Pietro Terracciano.
The club also finalized their tenth signing with the acquisition of promising German defender David Odogu from Wolfsburg, also for €10 million.
