Kostas Tsimikas appears to be edging closer to a Liverpool exit, with AS Roma reportedly showing strong interest in the Greek left-back.
Tsimikas is among the players Liverpool are open to selling this summer. With an overload of options at left-back, he's fallen behind both Milos Kerkez and Andy Robertson in the pecking order.
Kerkez, who arrived from Bournemouth earlier this summer, is expected to be the long-term starter, with Robertson likely playing a supporting role. As a result, Tsimikas has yet to make an appearance in the opening two weeks of the 2025/26 Premier League season.
He hasn’t even been included in the matchday squad since the Community Shield, raising questions about his future at Anfield. Now, there's an update.
According to The Athletic, Italian side AS Roma are looking to bring in Tsimikas on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season. However, Liverpool would prefer a permanent transfer.
The Reds are aiming to balance their books after spending close to £300 million this summer, and have already brought in nearly £200 million through player sales.
Tsimikas joined Liverpool in 2020 from Olympiacos and has made 115 appearances for the club, registering 18 assists during his time on Merseyside.
