Harry Kane has added another piece of silverware to his collection with Bayern Munich. The 32 year old striker helped lead Die Roten to victory in the 2025 German Super Cup.
The final saw Bayern Munich face off against VfB Stuttgart at Neckarstadion in the early hours of Sunday, August 17.
Kane started the match and made an early impact, opening the scoring in the 18th minute. He pounced on a loose ball just outside Stuttgart’s penalty area and fired home a clean half-volley to give Bayern a 1–0 lead heading into halftime.
Bayern doubled their advantage in the second half through a goal from Luis Díaz. Stuttgart managed a late consolation via Jamie Leweling in stoppage time, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome. The match ended 2–1 in Bayern’s favor.
The win secured Bayern Munich’s second trophy of 2025 under head coach Vincent Kompany, following their Bundesliga title earlier in the year.
For Kane, this marks just the second major trophy of his professional career both of which he has won with Bayern: the Bundesliga and now the German Super Cup.
“This is what it’s all about the first trophy of the season! It feels amazing,” Kane said after the match, proudly holding the Super Cup.
“You know it’s never easy playing away, but credit to the lads. We stepped up, we pushed through, and we’re hungry for more,” he added.
