Borussia Dortmund are reportedly weighing the possibility of bringing Jadon Sancho back to the club. While the players seem to be on board with the idea, the club’s top brass remains unconvinced that Sancho is still the same player he once was.
Sancho's future is currently uncertain. Manchester United have made him available in the 2025 summer transfer window, but interest has been lukewarm so far.
Juventus and AS Roma have shown some level of interest, but no official offers have been made. United are believed to be open to selling him for a relatively low fee of around €20 million.
According to Tribuna, Dortmund are monitoring the situation closely. Sancho is no stranger to Signal Iduna Park, having played for the club during two separate stints.
His first spell ran from 2017 to 2021, when Dortmund signed him from Manchester City. He then returned on loan from Manchester United in the winter of 2024.
Dortmund had originally sold Sancho to United in 2021 for a hefty €85 million fee.
Inside the club, opinions are divided. A group of players is reportedly keen on his return, believing he can still perform at a high level. On the other hand, some members of the management are skeptical about whether Sancho can recapture his old form.
Sancho made a total of 158 appearances for Dortmund, scoring 53 goals and providing 67 assists. At 25, could a return to Dortmund be on the cards for the talented winger?
