AC Milan summer transfer window has been nothing short of busy, with the club making swift moves to bolster their midfield. Among the new arrivals, Luka Modric and Ardon Jashari have already caught the attention of head coach Massimiliano Allegri.
The duo represents two very different profiles Modric brings a wealth of experience, while Jashari is a rising talent with plenty of potential. Together, they add depth and diversity to Milan’s midfield, a blend of maturity and youthful energy that the Rossoneri hope will solidify their core.
It didn’t take long for Allegri to share his thoughts on the pair. Following a preseason friendly against Leeds United in Dublin, the coach didn’t hold back his praise.
Although Modric didn’t feature in the match, his presence and pedigree still made an impression. Allegri highlighted the Croatian’s intelligence and ability to maintain top performance levels despite his age.
“To stay at the top, you have to be smart. Modric and I don’t say this lightly is an exceptional player,” Allegri told Sky Sport Italia.
Jashari, on the other hand, made his debut appearance alongside Yunus Musah and Emanuele Sala in midfield. Despite limited preseason training and not having much time on the ball prior, he delivered a performance that impressed his coach.
“Jashari really surprised me. He hasn’t had much time with the ball and mostly trained on his own, but still managed to put in a solid shift,” Allegri added.
With preseason still underway, both players are expected to play key roles in Milan’s campaign ahead Modric with his leadership and vision, Jashari with his drive and fresh energy.
