After falling out of favor at Manchester United, Marcus Rashford is aiming to revive his career with a fresh start at Barcelona and Brazilian football legend Rivaldo believes he has what it takes to succeed.
Rashford's role at United diminished following the arrival of Ruben Amorim midway through last season. He was loaned out to Aston Villa during the second half of the campaign, where he managed to impress with strong performances. However, that loan spell wasn’t extended, leaving the forward at a crossroads.
Meanwhile, Barcelona initially pursuing other summer targets found themselves exploring alternative options after negotiations fell through. The opportunity to bring Rashford in presented itself, and the deal moved quickly. Rashford has now joined the Catalan club on loan until the end of the season.
Rivaldo is optimistic about Rashford's chances in LaLiga, highlighting the more open style of play in Spain as a key factor that could benefit the Englishman.
"He has all the tools to stand out, especially with a good coach backing him. That kind of support can really accelerate his development," Rivaldo told Mundo Deportivo.
"It’s a different league from the Premier League. I think he’ll have more space and more opportunities to show his quality and achieve something meaningful," he added.
