Juventus have certainly made moves in the transfer market, but their work is far from done. Many believe the current squad still isn’t strong enough to compete at the highest level.
Behind the scenes, things have been moving quickly starting with a shake-up in management and clarity around the head coach. However, when it comes to bringing in top-tier talent, the club hasn’t quite hit the mark yet.
The summer began with the removal of Cristiano Giuntoli from his role as sporting director. Shortly after, the club confirmed Igor Tudor would stay on as head coach, alongside some changes at the executive level.
Unfortunately, their transfer activity so far hasn’t fully reflected a serious push to strengthen the team. Fans are growing restless and are hoping to see some key signings before the new season kicks off.
Several big names in the current squad still face uncertain futures, which has added to the tension within the club and disrupted preseason preparations.
Tudor needs clarity on who he can count on for the upcoming campaign. Juventus can't afford to delay any longer when it comes to making crucial decisions.
Paolo Paganini, a journalist closely following the club, pointed out that Juve are still missing a few core players. He also highlighted how the current transfer window is proving to be particularly tough for the new management team.
"Juve likely need another person to handle transfers, regardless of past management mistakes. Comolli finds himself in unfamiliar territory and is facing serious challenges. When you see Douglas Luiz not showing up at training camp, it’s a shock for Juve fans. Then there’s Weah’s agent causing issues, and the uncertainty around Vlahovic—it’s a tough situation. In my opinion, Juve still need three or four key players," he told Tuttomercatoweb.
Juventus have a solid foundation, but it’s clear they’re still lacking in several key areas. If they want to be serious contenders in both Serie A and the Champions League, they’ll need to make some important additions.
The transfer window is still open, but time is ticking. Now, all eyes are on the Juventus management can they finish what they started?
